10 Things To Do to Stop Global Warming

In the recent 11th hour movie review I did, I watched how the movie presented us with the horrifying truth that we should act now to save ourselves from extinction. It also explains that the support of everyone is needed.

In response to Blog Action Day, I have listed 10 things to do to stop global warming.

  1. Buy recyclables. Whenever you buy something from the supermarket, stop and think how you can recycle what’s leftover after you’ve used the product.
  2. Carpool. In today’s world where the price of oil has been increasing exponentially in the past years, it isn’t hard to find someone who’d like to share the gas expenses.
  3. Buy energy saving appliances. A simple incandescent to fluorescent light bulb change will reduce your electricity consumption and will lower global warming pollution.
  4. Plant a tree. This has been taught to us even from our grade school years. Planting trees will help reduce global warming because trees breathe in carbon dioxide and exhales oxygen.
  5. Tune up your car. Car maintenance will help improve fuel efficiency and will reduce harmful emissions.
  6. Buy refillables. This will low energy used to manufacture the packaging and will also reduce waste.
  7. Lower clothes dryer usage. Build a clothesline. This willl help reduce energy consumption that will in turn reduce global warming.
  8. Pull the plug. Whenever an appliance is off but still plugged in the electricity socket, it still uses up energy we call, “phantom charge”.
  9. Cover your pots when cooking. This will help keep the heat from escaping and will reduce energy or gas consumption.
  10. Support environment friendly initiatives. What better way is there than to join larger communities in stopping global warming.
