If you aren’t updated with the news, Google agreed to paying up to 90 million USD in a settlement with advertisers last year. Advertisers were allowed to reimburse what they believe were from invalid clicks. The amount to be paid was no joke and Google had make some action.
In response to this, Google will be altering the clickable adsense area according to Blogoscoped.com. The clickable areas are only going to be the link and url. Previous Google Adsense made it so that the whole are was clickable which may have resulted in unintentional clicks.
Will this affect adsense earnings? This may lower adsense earnings for us, publishers but let’s wait and see what happens.
