Last time, we discussed how letting your staff make mistakes would result in better performance. The same goes for you. Experience is the best teacher and making mistakes gives you a big, “No, I did this last time. I made a mistake. I won’t do it again” sign.
Mistakes can be missing the deadline, poor execution of a project or lost client. The sad thing is a lot of managers conceal their mistakes and forget about past mistakes. A good manager would not even try to put a curtain on it. A good manager would analyze what it is that might have caused a problem or mistake. This would later prevent it from happening again.
We all make mistakes. It’s time to learn from them.
