better management

My number one rule is hope for the best, plan for the worst.
~Ezra Kramer (Bourne Ultimatum, 2007)

If you have been in management long enough, you would have probably experienced a situation that everything went wrong. I have. And it’s always so frustrating. It seems that everything is working against you and planned for you to fail.

Managers in general should plan for the worst and hope for the best. Murphy’s Law states that “Whatever may go wrong, will go wrong”. Not everything will always happen your way. Never assume that your every day routine strategies will always work. Never assume that everything will always work as they have in the past.

Chances are you won’t even have to implement these contingency plans. They may always remain plans if everything goes well. But still they are still very important to have.
