Amidst the increasing oil prices, people have been looking for alternative sources of energy. Just this week, we experienced a new fare hike due to the oil prices. Some have started with Water-powered engines for cars. Some have started solar ‘windows’.
In the Philippines, Envent Holding Philippines Incorporated has announced the signing of a Geothermal Service Contract to explore renewable energy resources. Envent, which is working on geothermal projects in the Philippines will focus on producing about 1, 200 MW of energy by 2013.
Projects like this, whether it is geothermal energy, wind or solar should always be supported. This is in the hopes of having cheaper and healthier energy sources.
